About Me
Memes. Strategic storytelling. Digital communication.
If you want to know anything about my background-- those three things are a good place to start.
My list of experiences may seem like a hopscotch of roles in very different fields, but what ties them all together is my passion for creative, innovative communications strategy and furthering knowledge in new things. I love expanding my skills by taking on new challenges that allow me to use what I've learned before and apply it unique ways in new and unexpected fields.
I've been on the front line of the political policymaking process by helping the media and the public understand the complex ideas analyzed by the Congressional Budget Office, while helping protect the reputation of this important institution. I've waded knee-deep into the advocacy world by developing communications strategies for the nonprofit One Chance to Grow Up to help new audiences understand their goals. I've been a social media manager and freelance Meme Lord (yeah, at this point it can be a real title) for startups, politicians, influencers, and everything in between. I've juggled navigating the halls of Parliament as well as the depths of Tumblr...and what I've taken away from all of it is an utterly unique perspective on how to use communications to help people share their ideas with the people who care about them--in the ways THEY want to be communicated to.
I love furthering my skills and learning new things, but more than anything I love to have fun while doing so. And make memes-- I'm always back at it with those memes.
